The Nets Bring It!

In 2004, FCRC Chairman and CEO Bruce Ratner led an investment team that successfully bid for the New Jersey Nets. He is now the principal owner of the team, and plans to bring Brooklyn its first major professional sports team in half a century when the Nets move to the borough.

The Nets have enjoyed great success in the NBA's Eastern Conference, earning a trip to the playoffs for six consecutive seasons (2002-07). Although they did not qualify for the playoffs this past season, the Nets expect to be very active in improving the team during the off-season, adding to a group of top players including Vince Carter and Devin Harris. They are excited about having Yi Jianlian join the team starting in the 2008-09 season.

The organization recognizes that its fans invest their passion, personal time and money in supporting the team and appreciates their loyal commitment. The franchise has made extensive improvements to the fans' in-game entertainment experience. By featuring upgraded halftime shows, improved Nets Dancers, an interactive pep squad, Sly the mascot, the Nets Kids Dancers, the Nets Drumline and the new Nets Senior Dancers along with improved lighting, music and a special pregame opening, the organization is producing one of the league's most fan-friendly environments.
